Prioritized First Aid Kit List

 This is my "go to" prioritized first aid kit list for a main mobile trauma bag. These items should be regularly checked and cycled as needed. Everyone has different needs, although the basic life-saving treatments are all very similar, these supplies and equipment should be more than enough to provide critical care when needed.


1)    Tourniquet

2)    Gloves (nitrile)

3)    Pressure dressing

4)    Z-fold gauze, standard 4.5" x 4 yards

5)    Coban roll, standard 2" x 5 yards

6)    Trauma shears

7)    Acetaminophen /'Tylenol Ibuprofen/ Advil

8)    Diphenhydramine/ Benadryl

9)    Loperamide/Imodium

10) Band-Aids (10x, various sizes)

11) Chest seals (1 pair)

12) Tweezers

13) Irrigation syringe, 20ce with an 18 gauge tip

14) White petroleum jelly / Vaseline in small container

15) Silk medical tape roll, 1" wide

16) Needle & thread stored in isopropyl alcohol (2x needle/thread, 1x small container

17) Moleskin, 5" x 2" strip

18) Rolled gauze, standard 4.5" x 4 yards

19) Gauze pads, 4" x 4" (6x)

20) Plastic cling wrap, 2" wide roll

21) Cravat / triangular bandage, 45" x 45" x 63"

22) Butterfly bandages, 0.5" x 2.75" (16x)

23) Safety pins (3x, various sizes)

24) Elastic wrap / ACE bandage, standard 4" x 5 yards

25) Aluminum splint, 36

26) Emergency blanket (2x)

27) Gloves (leather)

28) Reference guide

29) Saline eye drops

30) Abdominal pad (sometimes "ab pad"), 5" x 9" (2x)

31) Nasopharyngeal airway, 28 French (a unit of size used for these devices)

32) Aspirin/ Bayer

33) Pepto-Bismol pills

34) Caffeine pills

35) Hydrocortisone cream

36) Miconazole

37) Doxycycline and/or Bactrim antibiotics
